Hidra
Hidra is a stainless-steel sculptural piece, that draws its name from one of the 48 constellations Ptolomeo registered back in the II Century and is one of the biggest one known so far. The sculpture is conformed by a single module that repeats itself six times constructing a complex spherical symmetry. In mathematical terms, this structure shows the dual relationship of the tetrahedron with itself. Each module is constructed by a set of two different pieces of laser cut stainless steel.
This sculpture expresses the intent of the artist to constantly push the boundaries of what can be achieved through Geometry and applied in new constructions. This piece is assembled and welded manually by master blacksmiths from Mexico City and, can be installed both indoors and outdoors. Limited edition of 3.

Altair
Constructed in solid walnut it conforms a perfect sphere based on the geometrical structure of the rhombicosidodecahedron, an Archimedean solid conformed of thirty squares, twenty equilateral triangles and twelve pentagons. ALTAIR is part of an ongoing project that pays attention to the stellar system and is named after one of the brightest stars in the sky, the brightest in Aquila´s constellation. ALTAIR is an abbreviation of the original Arabic name of the star, “the flying eagle”.
ALTAIR is a limited edition piece and the whole process for its construction is carried out manually: the assembly of the modules, the polishing of the piece and the final finish in natural oil. Limited to an edition of 3.

Alejandria Sculpture
Alexandria functions as an accent of sophistication and elegance as its geometry imbues the piece with solidity while it emanates quietness to whichever space it is placed into. Alexandria has a highly polished surface, celebrating the age-old tradition of craftsmanship, and is constructed in Mexican tzalam wood due to its intrinsic flexibility it has an oiled finish that brings the materiality of tzalam wood to the fore adding to the piece its magnificent array of natural different tonalities.

Changuero Public Art Sculpture
Our partners in Mexico City strongly believe that children should be central to good urban planning and design. We believe a city with a future, is a city that takes care of their children, the safekeepers of the forthcoming. Therefore, rethinking childhood and the production of more friendly furnitures, and cities, for children is one our main concerns.
Changuero is an extremely stable construction. It encourages people of all ages to interact, enliven agility, flexibility and laughter. Changuero has been exhibited in many different venues and all our visitors, from children and teenagers to adults have interacted with it leading Changuero to win adepts and users wherever it has been shown.

Orbi Sculpture
Orbi is a family of two granite centerpieces. The design transfers the diagonal forces within Hadid’s renowned architectural forms, generating a torsional movement which defines each piece. Available in two sizes and colours, each piece can hold objects for display or used alone, an exemplar of ZHD’s virtuosity with fluid geometries of immaculate craftsmanship.

Cylandrical Section 32
New for 2019, and specifically designed to be presented at Zona Maco 2019, CÚMULOS was inspired by Buckminster Fuller’s Synergetics, one of the foundational texts in contemporary geometrical studies in which Fuller reflects on the modular possibilities of the cuboctahedron (in geometry, a polyhedron with eight triangular faces and six square faces).
Cumulus clouds exhibit considerable vertical development, clearly defined edges, and a cottony appearance. They can be formed alone, in rows, or in groups, and they always react to atmospheric factors. CÚMULOS maintains these characteristics, and one can play with the piece — by making a single cloud grow on an almost infinite scale or by exhibiting it in small modules, like a trail of clouds. CÚMULOS can also be exhibited hanging like a nimbus, a cloud layer, or placed on the floor holding a crystal to become a functional table.
The hard and fragile ceramic, as well as the white enameling of each piece, allows CÚMULOS to interact with the lighting of its surroundings.
